Bath, Pool, Beach Towel Tote!

Happy Monday, ya'll!  Don't these weekends seem to fly on by?! 

It has been one HOT weekend here in Kentucky, with temps well into the 100's!  The heat will smack you in the face as soon as you walk out the door!  It's awful.  So, I've kept myself holed up inside until the sun starts going down.  Lol, I know, I'm a weeny!

I had another reason I wanted to stay inside though.  I had this project to finish up to show all of you. :)

While browsing Pinterest last week {what? me, browsing Pinterest??}, I seen the cutest pool/beach bag and I clicked it to find a tutorial.  {YAY for tutorials!!}

I immediately knew I had to make one.  So on my lunch hour, I tore out to the Dollar Market and found the prettiest blue towel for $3.00!!! Yup, this tote cost me $3 bucks!

After working on it off and on for the last week, I've finally finished it and can't wait to show you!

It's not exactly like Shatzi's, but I am pretty proud of it!

Now, let me tell you, this was my first time sewing with towel material and it was kinda tough.  I ended up hand sewing most of it because the thread kept getting tangled.  I also couldn't get my handle turned inside out like Shatzi's tutorial so I improvised and left it the way it was.  Looking back now, I don't think I'd change a thing about it!  Except maybe I'd bought a different color towel for the pockets... like color blocking!
