Wow, Christmas is over and another year is nearly gone.  I can't believe how fast it has flown by.  When I was in school, years seemed to creep by sooo slow, but now, if you blink twice you will miss one.

So did everyone have a great Christmas?  Mine sure was.  It was really busy too!  So busy that I was embarrassed forgot to show you my REAL Christmas tree.  Here it is, my lil' Charlie Brown tree:  {please refrain all laughter}

We learned our lesson about having a real tree.  I undressed it last night and WHAT A MESS!!!!  It took me 45 minutes to vacuum those needles up.  The whole time I was thinking to myself "never again".

Want to know/see my favorite thing from Christmas?  Getting to spend time with my nephew & all of my family :)

The rest of my weekend was spent going to see Alvin & the Chipmunks, Chipwrecked {which was SO CUTE, laughed all the way through it}, putting all of our gifts away, & a little bit of sewing.  I had a small amount of this fabric left and thought I'd use it to make a keychain.  What do you think?  I love it!  I didn't have any matching ribbon, but this blue looks just fine to me.  I followed this tutorial -- it was really easy.  I'd say more of these will be in my future!

Until next time...

sad, sad day ...

My day is going to be SO long, you have no idea.  I've lost my best friend ..... CARMEX!

I absolutely love this stuff.  I apply every morning after brushing my teeth, reapply after breakfast, reapply before lunch, reapply after lunch.. and well you get the jist of it.

LUCKILY, I found an old tube in my purse that has been completely squeezed out, so I cut the bottom of it off and WAAA LAAAHHH, I've got a little bit of my best friend for the rest of the day!  :)

Happy Wednesday!

Christmas tree, oh, Christmas tree...

So, we get our pretty, white Christmas tree down from the attic on Thanksgiving weekend and a mouse has PEED all over it!!  Yes, you read that right.  A mouse peed all over my white Christmas tree making it yellow and stink reallllly bad.  It went straight to the trash can!  Bye bye favorite white Christmas tree.  :(

Today we set out on an adventure to find us a REAL Christmas tree!!!!!!  WHAT?!  I never thought I'd have a real tree in the house.  BUT, this year we are!  While we were out looking for our tree, you will never guess what happened........

Yup, we lost the whole tire & wheel off the 4~wheeler.  Mac & the dogs walked back home and got the Rhino and some wrenches and come back to the rescue!  I mean who else does this happen to?!

We finally found the tree we wanted, so Mr. Paul Bunyon (aka Mac) chopped it down.  During this, Mac was saying "No pictures", but I took some anyway!

Soon after this, we lost our puppy, Boone, in the woods and had to walk around for about 15 minutes looking for him.  He gets a little side tracked when he's sniffing a new area.

We finally headed back with our tree in tow, gave it a little wash, dried it out, and after MANY splinters, I think we will be able to put it up one day this week.  I'll definitely be back with a picture of it when it's finished!

Have a great week!
